What is your primary mission?
Our mission is to advance digital equity by providing students in underserved communities with the cellular hardware (routers and hotspots) and technical support they need to participate fully in digital learning.
Do you provide internet service/data plans?
No. We focus exclusively on the hardware and technical support. However, we work closely with non-profit partners who specialize in providing low-cost or free cellular data plans to qualifying families.
How are you funded?
We are supported through a combination of private hardware donations, corporate partnerships, individual contributions, and specialized grants focused on digital inclusion and literacy.
What types of hardware do you accept?
We primarily look for 4G/5G LTE hotspots and Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) routers. We accept new, open-box, refurbished, or "refurbishable" units.
Is my hardware donation tax-deductible?
Yes. As a registered non-profit, all hardware donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. We provide formal tax acknowledgments for all contributions.
Can you handle large-scale inventory liquidations?
Yes. We have the logistics capacity to receive bulk shipments from distributors and resellers. We also use donated funds to purchase unused or "slow-moving" inventory at cost or deep discounts.
How do students qualify for a device?
We typically partner with school districts and community organizations that have already identified students with "unmet connectivity needs". Families can often apply through their school's digital equity liaison.
What kind of technical support do you provide to families?
Every device we deploy includes a simple setup guide. We also offer remote troubleshooting, where volunteers help families activate and secure their devices.
Are the devices safe for student use?
Yes. We encourage schools and parents to use the built-in security features of the routers. We also provide guidance on Wi-Fi security and privacy to ensure a safe learning environment.
How can we get hardware for our existing data plan program?
If your non-profit provides the internet service but lacks the devices, you can apply for a Hardware Allocation. We provide bulk lots of tested, refurbished hardware to mission-aligned partners.
Can you help us refurbish our own stockpile of devices?
Absolutely. We offer technical refurbishment as a service to our partners, screening your existing inventory for functionality and battery health to get them back into the community.
Do I need to be a "tech expert" to volunteer?
Not necessarily! While we need IT professionals for hardware testing and refurbishment, we also need advocates to help with community outreach, partnership building, and administrative tasks.
How can I help if I don't have hardware to donate?
You can help by opening doors. If you have connections at a technology company or cellular reseller, introducing us to their sustainability or CSR team is one of the most impactful ways to help.
